horse whisperer

The Agony Principle: Parents should not agonize over anything children do or fail to do if those children are perfectly capable of agnozing over it themselves.

Horse training can apply to child rearing - one word instructions vs. nagging - don't beat them and break their spirit, work 'em into the ground until they cooperate. Situps, pushups, lunges, chores, yardwork, service projects, dig diches. Roundpen- stand by and oversee but do not punish yourself. Endurance, pace yourself. Patients. Notes from 'The Horse Whisperer' by Marti Robins about his gentle 'roundup' method. Marti trains Queen Elizabeths horses. Who knows how the T-Touch works?
